Information for NDIS participants and families about the Coronavirus: https://everyaustraliancounts.com.au/emergency-information-for-ndis-participants-and-families-about-the-coronavirus/ Click for easy read and visual resources.
The information circulating about COVID 19 is concerning and our thoughts are with you all as we prepare for this unprecedented and uncertain time ahead.
We deeply care about you our clients and families and as such would like to assure you that we are taking recommendations from the health department seriously. We understand that this virus is particularly risky for people with health conditions and that it puts some of you at increased risk of illness.
If you have been overseas, please head the warnings of NSW Health and remain isolated for 14 days or if you have been in contact with someone who has Covid 19 or been overseas please reschedule your appointment.
This will be reassessed day to day as advice from NSW Health changes and we will advise you of any significant changes.
As such we have some guidelines for our organisation moving forward:
All surfaces in our clinics will be cleaned down with disinfectant more regularly
You will be asked to wash your hands when you come into the clinic to minimise the spread of the virus.
We will maintain a distance from you and when you are sitting in our clinic space there is sufficient personal distance to keep you safe.
Staff will not be working if we are sick.
Staff will not be conducting home or school visits if you or any family members are unwell. This is an OHS issue so please let us know in advance if this is the case in your home.
Staff will carry hand sanitiser and personal protective equipment for their wellbeing.
If you or your family are sick and not able to make it to an appointment please let us know, we will happily reschedule for a time when you are fully recovered.
Online services, such as skype or zoom calls or telephone services are available please let us know if you would prefer this option rather than coming into a clinic.
We understand that times of increased stress can cause additional strain on you and your family and so have provided some resources below to support you with calming or sensory based activities at home that may be able to support you and your family during this time.
