ABOUT

Emily is a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Chrysalis. Her key role is to conduct functional behaviour assessments, as well as developing and implementing behaviour support plans. She works toward the goal of reducing behaviours of concern and developing the skills necessary to promote positive, prosocial behaviours and minimise the use of restrictive practices.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

With 6 years in the industry, she also holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) & Post Grad dip. Professional Psychology and is completing her final subjects in a Masters of Applied Behaviour Analysis. She has also completed research in the field of applied behaviour analysis and is an Associate Member for the Australian Psychological Society.

SPECIAL INTEREST

Emily works primarily with children and teens who have developmental disabilities (i.e., ASD, ADHD).

Emily loves working with families to help them better understand how their child’s diagnosis is contributing to their behaviours of concern. Helping families implement practical strategies to build the skills their children are struggling with because of their disability. Seeing children have access to experiences (sports, social, community access etc) that they previously didn't due to improvements in their behaviour.
